Each semester the GEAR UP Service Learning Program recruits Math and Science Tutors to work with local high school students. Three units of college credit are offered via enrollment in TE 362. Minimum Tutor Requirements
Math and Science Tutors must enroll in TE-362 and are able to tutor up to 20 hours per week at one of our selected school sites.
School Districts Served
GEAR UP Tutors will work in the Sweetwater Union High School District with the following high schools: Chula Vista, Castle Park, Mar Vista, Montgomery, Southwest, and Sweetwater.
