GEAR UP Tutors
Each semester the GEAR UP Tutoring Program recruits Math and Science Tutors to work with local middle school students. Three units of college credit are offered via enrollment in TE 211 & TE 362. Minimum Tutor Requirements
Math & Science Tutors must enroll in TE 211 and TE 362 (see recruitment flyer for schedule....available soon) and must tutor 10 hours per week minimum at one of our selected school sites.

School Districts Served
Talent Search Tutors will work in the Sweetwater Union High School District with the following junior high and high schools: Chula Vista, Castle Park, Granger Jr., Mar Vista, Montgomery, Southwest, and Sweetwater.

Talent Search recruiting tutors for Fall 2008
Earn 3 units of credit for assisting middle/high school students and instructors in their classes and/or after school. Volunteer tutors will serve as mentors and role models to low-income, potential first-generation college, underrepresented students. Our program is geared toward encouraging all students to succeed in their educational goals and to pursue a college education.
